How do I connect to the LUMS wireless network?

Please click here for instructions on how to access the wireless network for both computers and mobile phones.

I have an official visitor, an upcoming meeting or event for which I need to give my guests wireless access. How can they get wireless access?

Please send an email to the IST Helpdesk mentioning the number of logins required, the names of the visitors, their CNIC numbers (or passport numbers in case of foreignors), and how long you need the access for - well ahead of the event.

My phone keeps prompting me for a password. What could be the problem?

If you have recently changed your LUMS password, your phone may keep prompting you for your wifi password. If you have recently changed your email password, you may stop receiving LUMS emails on your phone. In both cases, update your wifi settings or email client with your new password. Note that your email password is not the same as your LUMS password.

My password has expired. What should I do?

Visit or email the IST Helpdesk to request a password reset.

What are the LUMS password rules?

You password should be a combination of minimum 8 alpha-numeric characters with at least one uppercase or special character. It should not contain any part of your name/surname and should not be your old password.
